Event Horizon

Event Horizon is a reconfiguration of 52 panels of glass as a permanent artwork intervention on Frank Gehry architecture. The artwork is created by all of the fruit that moves around the world everyday from all of the diverse climates zones that span the globe from the tropics to the extremes of the arctic circle. The beauty of the world in all capacities persists — in daylight and also in darkness. In everything we can imagine, the world that gives us joy, pleasure, and meaning — it is the absence of light that is a necessary condition from which beauty becomes possible. This artwork is a tribute to an understanding that without darkness, life would not persist with variations of color, shape, and form.
